Motorized Stirrer is a compact and versatile electric stirring unit designed for efficient agitation, blending, dissolution and uniform mixing of low- to medium-viscosity liquids and formulations.

The unit is suitable for pharmaceutical, cosmetic, food, chemical, Ayurvedic, herbal, nutraceutical, laboratory and general industrial applications. Motor options from 1/2 H.P. to 2 H.P. provide flexibility for different batch sizes and product viscosities.

The stirrer can be supplied with stainless-steel product-contact components, suitable propeller/paddle/other impeller configurations, adjustable mounting arrangements and variable-speed control. Similar industrial stirrers are available with SS 304/SS 316 wetted components, VFD control and different impeller designs.

Actual mixing capacity and speed depend on vessel geometry, product viscosity, density, solids concentration and impeller selection. Published stirrer data similarly shows that motor rating and mixing capacity vary according to process material and viscosity.

Construction Details

  1. Motor

The machine is fitted with a robust electric motor selected according to the required stirring load. Motor options are available from 0.5 H.P. to 2 H.P. The motor can be supplied in single-phase or three-phase configuration according to the application.

  1. Stirrer Shaft

The vertical shaft is manufactured from stainless steel and accurately balanced for smooth operation. SS 304, SS 316 or SS 316L can be selected according to product-contact requirements.

  1. Impeller

The stirrer can be supplied with an appropriately selected impeller for the required mixing pattern. Available configurations include:

Technical Note

The final RPM, shaft diameter, impeller diameter, number of impellers and recommended batch capacity should be selected according to the actual product viscosity, density, vessel diameter, liquid level and required mixing performance. This avoids specifying a universal capacity that may not be appropriate for every formulation.
