Product Overview

TECHMAC ENGINEERING WORKS Emulsifier is a high-efficiency mixing and emulsification machine designed for producing smooth, homogeneous and stable emulsions. It is suitable for applications where intensive mixing, dispersion, wetting and particle-size reduction are required.

The machine is suitable for pharmaceutical, cosmetic, food, Ayurvedic, herbal, nutraceutical and chemical industries. It can be used for creams, lotions, ointments, gels, emulsions, suspensions, sauces and other liquid or semi-solid formulations.

The emulsifier is available with 1 H.P., 2 H.P. and 3 H.P. motor options. Depending on the application, the machine can be supplied with a high-speed rotor-stator homogenizing head, stainless-steel product-contact parts and variable-speed control.

Construction Details

  1. High-Shear Homogenizing Head

The emulsifier is equipped with a high-shear rotor-stator assembly designed to create intensive local shear. The rotor generates high-speed circulation while the stator promotes rapid dispersion and homogenization.

The homogenizing head can be customized according to product viscosity, particle size and desired final consistency.

  1. Motor

The machine is available with 1 H.P., 2 H.P. or 3 H.P. motors. The motor rating is selected according to the required process load.

Flameproof/explosion-proof motor construction can be supplied for suitable hazardous-area applications.

  1. Shaft

The shaft is manufactured from stainless steel and designed for smooth and stable operation. SS 304, SS 316 or SS 316L can be selected for product-contact applications.

  1. Product Contact Parts

All wetted components can be manufactured in stainless steel according to the required hygienic standard:

  • SS 304
  • SS 316
  • SS 316L

The internal surfaces can be supplied with smooth sanitary finishing to facilitate cleaning and minimize product retention.

  1. Vessel

A matching stainless-steel vessel can be supplied with the emulsifier. The vessel can be customized with:

  • Top cover
  • Product inlet
  • Product outlet
  • Drain connection
  • Sampling port
  • Jacket for heating/cooling
  • Sight glass
  • Spray ball/CIP provision
  • Sanitary tri-clamp connections

Speed Control

A Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) can be provided for adjustable operating speed. This allows the operator to optimize the process according to product viscosity and emulsification requirements.

VFD operation also provides controlled acceleration and deceleration, reducing mechanical stress during starting and stopping.

Technical Note

The actual batch capacity, operating RPM, rotor diameter, stator configuration, shaft diameter and processing time should be finalized according to product viscosity, formulation characteristics, vessel dimensions and required emulsification quality. Motor power alone should not be used to assign a universal batch capacity.
